Elke nació en La Plata, provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Es cantante, actriz y profesora de teatro, egresada de la Escuela de Teatro de La Plata, Argentina. Se ha especializado en el humor bajo la dirección de Mariana Brisky y Cristina Martí.

Se ha dedicado a varios estilos musicales pero especialmente en el tango perfeccionó su interpretación con Amelita Baltar. Ha tomado clases de canto con Emilce Vasaro, con Stella Crisci (Las Voces Blancas) y actualmente con Mavi Díaz (ex Viuda e Hijas de Roque Enroll)

Ha brindado recitales, mezclando el canto, la actuación y el humor en diferentes bares, teatros e instituciones de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, en varias ciudades europeas como Freiburg, Munich, Berlín, Zurich, Salzburgo y Basilea como así también en New York en varias oportunidades.

Ha participado en festivales internacionales como el Zelt Musik Festival, (Alemania, 2003, 2004, 2014) y Basse Navarre Festival, Saint Etienne de Baigorry (Francia, 2011). También ha participado de la Conferencia “Borges y el Tango” organizada por el Instituto Cervantes de Hamburgo en el año 2013.

Ha grabado cuatro discos: “Josefina or Elke”, “Elke en vivo” (Segundo premio en la categoría Tango de la Dirección de Cultura de la Municipalidad de La Plata) , “Preludio de Grela y de Bacana” con arreglos de Orlando Trujillo y el acompañamiento del Cuarteto de Orlando Trujillo y su último y cuarto disco se llamó "Puente".

Elke was born in La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a singer, actress and drama teacher, graduated from the official Drama School of La Plata, Argentina. She has specialized in the field of humor under the direction of Mariana Brisky and Cristina Martí. She also studied piano at the Conservatory Gilardo Gilardi in La Plata city.

With an interest in various musical genres, she has enriched her tango skills with Amelita Baltar and she has developed her experience in popular styles with Stella Crisci ("Las voces blancas" vocal group) and actually with Mavi Díaz ("Viuda e hijas de Roque Enroll" and "Mavi and the Folkies").

She has performed in numerous theatres, bars and institutions in the Capital and all over the province of Buenos Aires, and she has also presented shows in other cities of Argentina and in European cities such as Freiburg, Munich, Berlin, Zurich, Salzburgo, Bassel and also in New York in several times.

She has recorded four albums: “Josefina or Elke”, “Elke live” (second award in the tango category of the Culture recording label of La Plata town hall) and “Preludio de Grela y de Bacana” with Orlando Trujillo arrangements, and Orlando Trujillo’s quartet accompaniment and her last album is "Puente". As a soloist she has sung in many shows all over the country, in which she has mixed humour, acting and singing. She has participated in many festivals abroad like the Zelt Musik Festival (Germany 2003,2004, 2014) Basse Navarre Festival, Saint Etienne de Baigorry (France, 2011) and she has given concerts in different “milongas” in Berlin, Freiburg, Zurich, Basilea and at New York's Empire Milonga. She has also participated in the Conference about Borges and Tango organized by the Cervantes Institute in Hamburgo in 2013.

She currently performs, together with the Diagonal Quartet, at Café Tortoni in Buenos Aires.
